Hello,
I've been using Power Pivot increasingly over the last 12 months or so and recently started using DAX to perform calculations over time. Year to date, comparisons to the same month in the previous year, etc - all powerful stuff.
Recently I've been asked to create something a little bit more advanced but I'm not sure Power Pivot is capable. Hopefully someone has come across this before.

I have a simple Power Pivot report like the one shown here. It's basically product by month, with 2 measures qty and value. The Values are displayed on the rows.

I want to display ytd figures and other date calcs for both qty and value and display in the columns. Like this.

I can write the calculations in DAX as calculated fields but then they appear in the measures and have to appear in the rows section beneath qty and value, is there any way to get them to appear in the columns section? Like a SSAS dimension I guess.

Regards
Steve

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean when you say calculated items rather than fields?

Is there a difference and if so what is it?
