I have a number field and when i try and type a letter in it will say The value you entered isn't valid for this field
How do i have my own error message there?

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
If you specify the Validation Text in the field's properties, then that Text will show up for any validation errors at the form level. I don't think you can do this at the table level, though.
