Validation Rule Based on Another Field

I have a table [T_Instrument_Registry] that I would like to have a field [Distributor #] only allow an entry if the information is listed in table [T_Distributor_List]![Terr#]. I have created drop-downs, but it still lets me free-form type even if the value is not on the distributor table. I would also like to do the same thing on the form I have created to enter new lines. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit* The reason I want to do this is to prevent typos. I have several other fields I want to link as well.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
You want to be able to write to table A if there are pertinent values in table B, but the combo box is bound to table A? Sounds like it, but it's unusual to enter complete records using combo boxes, which is what I get from your post. Ranman's suggestion may work, but I think you might be doing something a bit more un-conventional. Anyway, you can always lock the form or controls if the value you need is not present in the other table.

Ahhh. Limit to List. I changed it to yes and it worked. I knew there had to be a setting or validation rule or something, but couldn't figure out what. Thanks.
