Validate column C selected

Hi, I'm fairly new with VBA code, so please bear with me. I'm writing a small bit of code with a goal of inserting a user selected picture into a spreadsheet. The user presses a button, selects the image, then is prompted to where they would like the picture to go in the spreadsheet. This is where I would like to validate two things - 1)One cell is selected & 2)The cell is somewhere within column C.

This returns that it's looking for an object. Is it that I'm checking for a letter and not a number for the column?

I've also tried just using

If ImageRange.Range(C) = False Then MsgBox "Can only be put in a cell in column C": GoTo SelectCell

but that forces the error window on every cell, no matter if it's in column C or not.
