V-Lookup across multiple sheets on an external workbook

Hello

=VLOOKUP(A2,'[Item Master - Supplier Data.xls]Fit Scr'!$A$2:$I$558,2,FALSE)
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Is there any way I can do a V-Lookup that searches over all sheets in a workbook rather than a specific sheet. In this case, all sheets on another workbook called 'Item Master - Supplier Data.xls'<o:p></o:p>
I can set the cell range to be the same on all sheets if that matters.<o:p></o:p>

Note that Item Master - Supplier Data.xls must be open for the set up to work.

Hi, I'm not sure this answers my question. I'm not looking to return the worksheet name, but the value in the cell.

My file 'Item Master - Supplier Data.xls' has several sheets on it, all with exactly the same layout and formatting but different sets of data.

The cell A2 (A3 and so on) that the vlookup is referencing may appear on any of those sheets and I want to return the value in column 2.

Alternatively I can put the sheet name, ie Fit Scr in column B and do an indirect reference but I've never done one before and am struggling to get the indirect reference to work when the lookup is in a different file.
