Using variables in a formula

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Just concatenate them in eg instead of:

Code:
ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = "=RC[1]"

you could have:

Code:
myVariable = 1
ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = "=RC[" & myVariable & "]"

Welcome to the forum.

Please at least try to provide a meaningful thread title in future.

You can use something like this:

Code:
activecell.formular1c1 = "=mid(R1C1," & i & ",1)"

If you get that error with what I posted, you copied it wrong. ;)
