Hi all,

I am trying to present some basic data in a more user friendly way. I have a basic set of data (4 columns and 72 rows) and I would like to add a slicer to this for selection without having to pivot the data. Is this possible?

Thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Which version of Excel do you have? You can use slicers with Tables in 2013 or later.

Ahh ok! I'm using Excel 2010... that'll be why it doesn't work. I did find a 'how to' on another site that said it worked from 2010 upwards however I can't seem to do it!

Thanks

No, it won't work in 2010. Where did you see that, as a matter of interest?

That is using a pivot table.
