Hi People,

I'm not sure if this problem will require more information, but to simplify, I have the following issue:

When using data validation, and the following formula: =INDIRECT(A1) I get exactly the results I want. In A1 is the formula: =VLOOKUP(C12,tblINDEX,3,FALSE) This refers to a table that is located on another worksheet within the workbook.

The problem is that when I concatenate these two, to try using =INDIRECT(VLOOKUP(C12,tblINDEX,3,FALSE)) as the data validation formula, it won't allow me to enter it as a valid formula!

I appreciate any suggestions you can offer.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Works fine for me in Excel 2010.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if that helps or not. :) It just goes to show that 'It should work perfectly, so why doesn't it?'

Sorry, I can't make a suggestion if I can't see the problem. If you want to put a workbook on box and post a link, I'll look at it.
