Using From Web Query with Password Protected Sites

Hi Everyone,

I'm drawing data from a website that requires login credentials to access. When I initially set up the queries I navigated through the portal that appears when you select the From Web option under Data, inputting my username and password to get onto the site and then navigating to the correct webpage. This worked, but now when I try to 'Refresh All' I get an error message.

The way I've gotten around this is by performing a dummy query on another sheet that draws data from the password protected site and then hitting Refresh All. Low and behold, no error message and my queries are run successfully. I came across this as a fluke, and it made me think that there must be a better way to do it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan
