Hi all,
As part of my role as a construction manager I carry out inspections of properties and tender works for them. The type of property (retail, commercial, industrial etc) determines what sort of typical works that will be required.
I have a list of typical works to a building which includes works for retail, commercial, industrial etc.
Is there a way I can set up a questionnaire in excel that, by filling it in, I can get all the typical works I need and exclude items (rows) I don't need?
An example of my thinking is below:
What type of property:
A: Retail
B: Commercial
C: Industrial
Answering C would mean my pre-populated list of works includes cleaning/repair of concrete slab floor and maintenance of roller shutter doors. It would exclude items that are specific retail or commercial settings.
From then on I would like further questions, like, the below example:
Does the property have external landscaped areas?
A: Yes
B: No
If I answer yes I also get typical landscaping clauses.
Has anyone done anything similar or could give me a steer on how to achieve this?
Thank you
Tom
