Can anyone answer the following please:
1. If I create a spreadsheet in the UK which uses "in cell" functions and I send this to a colleague in Germany (for example), will the functions still work or would they have to be re-done using German function names or is it the case that my functions would work but if he was enhancing the spreadsheet he would have to use the "local" terms for any functions he was adding and what would the implication now be if he returned this "new" file to me.
2. Much the same as above except I am now sending him a file with several macros. Will they work anywhere in the world or will some translation have to be done before they can use them and vice versa.
3. Finally, if one of the things that my macro did was to insert a function, would there be problems runing this macro over there?
The reason for these questions are that I am developing a utility in Excel and want to know if it is instantly portable to any country in Europe (and the rest of the world?)
