Hi,

Is it possible to use Defined names in dropdown list? Not as a source of dropdown, but as a part of dropdown.

I have a defined name which is called "Storing" and it is always value "90"

Now I want to be able to create data validation with dropdown list that will include 3 positions:

1. Defined name "Storing"
2. "Checked"
3. "In progress"

Is there any way to make it first position to show in dropdown list as "90"? So later when I change it in Name Manager to 80, it will show up in dropdown list as 80?

Note: I am trying to avoid using tables, I want to create source list in data validation like this:

so the cell shows this:

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
No, you can't do that, I'm afraid.

Couldn't you just put the formula =Storing in a cell, with the other options in the cells underneath and use that range of cells in your data validation list.?

That's what I was trying to avoid, so I was wondering if there is a possibility to do it directly in Data Validation. But I guess I am stuck with this solution
