If cell A1 has a number 123456 that uses the font Code 3 of 9 it will not scan, but if i put an * as the start and stop bit it will scan.

my question is if cell A1 = *5* and cell B1 = *2* how can i multiple cell A1 and B1 to show up as 10 in cell C1? (cell C1=A1*B1)

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You could format the cells as \*0\* to make the asterisks appear.

B2: =A1+A2
If cell A1=QPI-12LZ-01 and cell A2=A1 cell A2 is setup with Free 3 of 9 font. the bar code will not scan. But if i put make A1=*QPI-12LZ-01*, cell A2 will scan correctly.
How can i make the barcode look like it has the start and stop bits with out having the *'s show up in cell A1? I have formatted cell A1 with \*0\* but the bar code still doesn't scan correctly.

If cell A1 has data in it and cell B1 is formatted with \*0\*;\*0\*;\*0\*;\*@\* with a font type of Code 3 of 9, why is when i delete the data in cell A1 that cell B1 still show a bar code that scans as 0 (Zero). How can i make cell B1 show no barcode when cell A1 si blank.
