Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to embed a named range in a radar chart.

The Chart Data Range is ='Raw Data'!$D$32:$X$33,'Raw Data'!$D$36:$X$36

The Name is ='Raw Data'!$D$36

Y Values are ='Raw Data'!$E$36:$X$36

Horizontal Axis labels are ='Raw Data'!$E$32:$X$33

I've got a Named Range called 'tech_lead': ='Raw Data'!$D$36:$X$36

Question:

1. When I try specifying '=tech_lead' in the Y values I get an error message (there's an error in the formula you entered) .

2. I also tried putting the value ='Raw Data'!$D$36:$X$36 in the cell 'Raw Data'!$S:$35 and then selecting the Y Value as offset (Raw Data'!$S:$35) but that didn't work either?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
You need to reference the worksheet that contains the Name. tech_lead doesn't work, but try 'Raw Data'!tech_lead.

But...

You can only specify names in the name, X values, and Y values of an individual series. If you enter a name into the larger chart data range box, it might accept it, but it will convert it to its cell address, so it will no longer be dynamic.

Here's a very old tutorial that might help: Dynamic Chart Source Data
