Been finding answers to questions for years here, but had to join and post for this one... :)

I need to have a date entered in a userform.
I see 2 options:

  1. Calendar Control 12.0
  2. Microsoft Office Outlook Date Control
The first option works fine in my userform, but the size of it is making it difficult to arrange things.
The second option would make it very easy to incorporate into my userform, but it does not seem to display properly, and I get the following error each time I try to run the userform:

Run-time error ‘-2147220995 (800401fd)’:
Automation error
Object is not connected to server

I’m using Excel 2007.

Any suggestions for fixing the 'not connected to server' error?
Are there other options I'm not seeing?

I greatly prefer the Outlook Date Control, if it will work properly

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Microsoft MonthView Control is another option.

As far as spce considerations, you could use a small command button (calendar icon) - next to the textbox for your date - to popup a second user form with just the calendar control and return the selected date to the date text box.

Ended up using a button which pops up a calendar box with the selected date being returned to the text box...
Seems kinda cheesy, but it is working.

Thanks for the direction!
