I have endless questions, I'm sorry.

The latest is about user views. I have a db that is nearly complete and in use by data entry and order processors.

Other users who need and want to view the information have varying degrees of likes and dislikes. One in particular does not like using Access filters. My only thought was to have him view in datasheet view as a table so he can sort accordingly. But then I had another thought, is there a way to create a form, then a button (that acts as a filter) then he can choose the parameters he wants. He may want to select four or five options singly and simultaneously.

Not sure if I'm making sense or not. If not, let me know and I'll try to clarify.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Similar solution (?) -

I think the following might help.
Using a macro.
Produce a process to present the view your user is comfortable with.
Then create a Command Button on the appropriate form.
Right Click the Button
Chose the ALL Tab
Next to the On Click event of this button select the macro you have just created.(A drop down list of all Tables,Queries,Macros, etc appears - just chose the one you have just made).

Thanks- that sounds so logical.

I'm going to try this tomorrow, hopefully.

This user, the president didn't want anyone to navigate around too much, so I made all queries, reports, etc., very structured. Some are comfortable with filters, but he is not.

So, I am definitely going to try this. It seems to me though, that he is making slow work of things in this way, but if that's what he wants, I have to try to find a way, right?

Thanks,

I'll let you know.
