Hi,

When I run a macro with the line "Dim PPApp As PowerPoint.Application" from a module within my PERSONAL.XLSB it works fine. However, when I transfer the code to a module within a workbook, it returns the error "compile error - user defined type not defined".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi,

I suspect that you need to set a Reference to the PowerPoint code.

In the VB Editor:
Select Tools;
Select References;
Scroll down to Microsoft PowerPoint 15.0 Object Library;
Select that item
Click OK

Then try again.

Note: If your version of PowerPoint is different from mine then the number might not be 15.0.

Regards,
