Use subreport twice on same report

I have a report where the recordsource returns only the previous week.
I also want to use the same report where the the previous year is returned.
I have the 2 subreports in the detail section. The parent is just a dummy report to hold the two subreports together.

I am trying to set the recordsource of each subreport from its parent report by referencing the control name.

I get an error if I try to set it in the Open event. It will execute if I move it to the detai.

I'm a little rusty in MS Access. If I can't get it to work, I'll create 2 separate subreports.

Probably best to use different subreports -- just take the second, adjust the date range on the query, and give it a new name. Then delete the second copy of the original from the main report and add the new subreport instead.
