Hi guru's.

Is it possible to get conditional formatting to insert text in addition to color?
Would like to have columns in the Gantt form marked with color and description of public holidays

I don't want to insert text or formulas into the gantt form

Hope to hear from you guru's soon.

Best regards

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
No. As per its name, conditional formatting is for cell formatting not cell content

Why not?
I just want datavalidation in the cells that the date is not a holiday.

Is there a if formula that i can use?

If date = holiday then indeks and match
If date = not a holiday, then datavalidation active with list

I'm lost. That seems to have nothing at all to do with the thread title or what was written in post #1.

Me too :ROFLMAO:

First I wantet to get conditional formatting to insert text into cell that are equal to holiday's. You said that couldn't be done.
Then i was wondering if I could use a formual that inserts holiday decription when the date match to a holiday and if not a holiday i want it to activate datavalidation in the cells
