For once I can try to use built in date groupings (normally have custom) but I'm stumped how to do it.
Trying to follow this makes it looks easy.
PowerPivot: Grouping By Dates (Months, Quarters, Years, etc.) in PivotTables (en-US) - TechNet Articles - United States (English) - TechNet Wiki
But clicking anywhere in the pivot does not light up the GROUPINGS button, it is unselectable.
I have dates formatted and they are sorted in order, I just want them under YEAR and month.
I tried using the Values selector when clicking on row labels but it does not include date groupings it normally does, just Between etc.
Are dates considered text if on rows? Seems weird that ms-access can get this in a few seconds. Any ideas?
