URL Target specific window

I have URLs in an excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to specify that the URL needs to be opened with a particular window? The reason I ask is this: The URL pulls up specific information from a secure website. When Excel opens URLs in another window, it requires me to login again. If I could specify what window the link should open in, I think I could circumvent this problem.

Also, URLs to pdf files don't open. Adobe reader pops up for a split second, and disappears. Is there a setting that keeps it from opening the pdf file?

Your help is appreciated.

Please define what you mean by a particular window. Would this be an existing instance of Internet Explorer, Acrobat, Excel...? Or do you mean a particular application?

Please provide some more info. Thanks. :)

I'm really not sure. In HTML, I would use the screen title (I think). I really don't know how excel does it. That's why I posted here. :-D

You can use pretty much any reliable property. Something that you know will remain constant. This may be the URL, web page title, window caption, ect... Post what you determine and I'll cook up an example.
