I've looked around but haven't found a good answer to whether or not it's possible to turn text upside in a cell...not using "WordArt". Can any of you Excel wizards cook up code to do so?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
rightclick on a cell

choose cellformat => second tab.

there are options to change the text.

sadams1,

Now I understand.

Taking Oeldere's instructions a bit further:

right click on the cell
choose Format Cells...
click on the Alighment tab
on the right in the Orientation area
click on the red text pointer
and, rotate it up, or, down
and, click on the OK button

I'd like to rotate 1 letter in a cell (it's the only character in the cell) 180 degrees. Excel only allows for 90 degrees in "formatting".

Click on the Reply to Thread button, and just put the word BUMP in the thread. Then, click on the Post Quick Reply button, and someone else will assist you.

FormR,

It does seem to work in Excel.

Interesting, but, when I use MrExcl HTMLMaker, we get this?

Excel 2007

I suspect the HTML maker can't handle unicode characters..

You can get the HTML from the site though:

This could be a way outside the box thought but what if you downloaded an upside font which has the characters upside down also ,and then format those cells with that font would that work?
