Uploading File in Excel Cell

You can arrange your file in excel by using hyperlink, so when you click it the file will open. But if you share your excel through other device and want to open the file from that device, it won't open. Don't worry, you can embed the file so you can from other device by using this way : insert object > create file > browe file> select ok.. I'm sorry to say, that way is not really good, you need to resize the icon because it's not going to be placed in the cell you want.

So, imagine you can do this, just select browse (view like a drop-down list) then choose to upload the file you want. This feature is will be a noble of the year, breaking the entire universe.

Please, is there anyway to make this feature real? Thank you.. thank you so much

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
I think excel doesn't support this feature. U must do it manually.

So far I have done this:

1. Click command button to insert file

2. Browse File

3. The selected file embeded to cell "D2"

4. Drag the file to specific cell you want.

Freeze pan so it will help when dragging.

Unfortunately, it's still hard for most people, I have to tell them how to do.

I am not sure I understand.

Are you willing to insert an image of a file icon onto a specific cell via VBA ? Have you looked at the Left,Top etc Properties of the shape object ?

What exactly do you mean by "Through other device" ?

Your post is not clear .. Can you explain step by step what you want.

It's not only inserting image, but also file doc, xls, dwg, rar, etc. Want to make an archive excel filing that the file is embedded, can be sent, and opened from other devices. What I have made is not as I expected because of lack of knowledge, I made it complicated. The method, using VBA or else doesn't matter. Hopefully it would be simple (appearance) and understandable at first glance.
