Can someone please help.. I have a file in Access.. the file has numbers but no “0”... Zeros are just blank… some of my calculations didn’t work… so I tested it by manually changing the “blanks” to Zero “0” and all my calculation worked… i really don’t know how to do SQL so is there any way to do an update to fix it? to add "0" to all the blanks? I already tried Update to: “0” Criteria: is null that didn’t work.. I also tried Criteria: <1… that didn’t work either... do y'all know what I'm doing wrong??

thanks all,

Cesar

What is the Data type for this field?
Is it Number or Text?

Maybe try using "" for your criteria.

If it is indeed a number, no entry should be the same as 0.

Did you try:
0
or just plain:
Null
in the criteria?

Where exactly is this data coming from?
Is it linked from some source?
Is it imported from somewhere?
Is it being entered manually?

What if you go back to the table, and put a 0 in the Default property of that number field?
Does that update the blank entries?

ok.. i finally got it to work... i was updating all the "blanks" all at once... just for fun i did them one at a time.. there was 8 column that might have "blanks" so i just did them one column at a time and it worked.. now my calculation are correct.. (sigh)

thanks for trying to help me.. :)
