Dear All,
I have a destination workbook which is protected and as well as the worksheets in it.
I have source workbook with only one worksheet (which is also protected) which will be updated by someone else. Source file is saved in such a way that I have only READ access.
I want my formula in destination worksheets to calculate which are linked to source file using named ranges without myself having to open the source file.
Please note that currently only when I open the source file formula are updated. Once I close the source file, formula in destination doesn't work and all the cells go empty.
Please help me to learn how to calculate the formula without having to open the source file by myself.
Thank You.
PS: the formula in my destination workbook doesn't work even if the source file is opened by some other user.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
