Hi All,

I am sorry for my adolescence by asking something seems to be impossible for me.

I am stuck up with one of primary requirement for my daily routine work.

The problem is defined below:

1) The Invoice database is to be auto updated in Master database by replacing the existing content. For this Invoice number is used as base reference.
2) To elaborate more:
a. There is an input sheet which has list of invoices with relevant data.
b. Adjacently there is a Master database spreadsheet.
c. Whenever input sheet is updated for the same invoice number, relevant updates should get replaced in the Master database spreadsheet.
3) I tried a lot in the internet for solution but I failed & as a last resort here I am in this valuable forum which has given solutions back in the past.

I sincerely urge to come up with a solution.

"Inputs" spreadsheet has:

A1=Inovice; B1=Description; C1=Quantity; D1 = Unit rate

Below these cells are the values required.

"Master database" spread sheet has same content as that of "Inputs" spreadsheet. However when inputs are updated for the given invoice number, data should get updated in Master database for existing invoice number.

Thanks in advance.

P.S - Unable to attach the file.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
You can't attach a file in this Forum. You can post screenshots of your data. Section B at this link gives you instructions on how to do that. https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/board-announcements/127080-guidelines-forum-use.html
Alternatively, you could upload a copy of your file to a free site such as www.box.com. or www.dropbox.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. Include a detailed explanation of what you would like to do referring to specific cells and worksheets. If the workbook contains confidential information, you could replace it with generic data.
