Update data each time a new workbook is created

I work for an aircraft charter company and have a spreadsheet containing a database of weights of passengers who frequently fly with us (very simple - Column A: name, Column B: weight). Passengers are weighed each time they fly and their weight is recorded in a separate manifest workbook. A new manifest is created from a template file for each flight and the file name for the new workbook is "[Customer] [Date/s] [Destination/Route Airport Codes]" e.g. "John Citizen 220528 ABC" or "CompanyX 220528-31 ABC-DEF".

Each manifest has a separate worksheet for each leg of the flight, and passenger names and weights are recorded in the sheet with the leg they flew in. (E.g. FIFO shift changes where one crew travels to work and their details are recorded on a sheet named "Leg 1" and the crew returning home will have their details recorded in the sheet named "Leg 2".)

Is there a way to automatically (or with the click of a button) update the weight database each time a new manifest workbook is created?
