Hi All.
I have a table called Votebook and a union query called Allpayments (from two tables). At some point i want to update the votebook table with the Allpayments query result, and update again if new records are added to the tables for the union query. Is it possible with access.
Thanks

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Take a look at Action Queries, like the Append Query which will add new records to an existing table.

AOGFADUGBA: while you are checking that out, keep in mind you cannot "update" a new record into a table. You can only append. Your post title and text suggests you might not be familiar with the difference. In order to update, you must already have data in at least one field of a record. This would enable you to update any of the fields in a record, even if they are Null or empty strings. Otherwise, you will have to use an append query. You will have to figure out how to test for when to run an update query versus an append query using Allpayments as a table (source data). Note that append queries will add identical records to a table when run more than once if the table design allows this, so if you don't want that, you'll have to decide on how you will handle the situation.
