Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys would be able to help me out here. I have an employee report which comes to me in txt format. I need to find the rows with yesterday's date under a specific column and transfer that to a diffferent sheet.

the problem I'm having is that the data comes unstructured, I insert the data from data>insert from text. i tried both delimited, and fixed, but cannot get it to come structred.
when i do fixed with, some names are cut off, when i do delimited content moves on to different rows.
i wanted to make a macros that would solve this, but there is a different report each day, so fixed width will cut off letters from some names.

is there a way to import all the data while keeping the format from the original txt file?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
If you can post a copy of the txt file [removed by admin] I'll give it a go at conversion.
