Morning,

I have a worksheet with command buttons.
Each button when clicked open the worksheet in question on my PC.
There is one which i click on & see the error message attached as a screen shot.

I proceed by clicking Yes then see the next pop up message.

I click the link to see the repair log file & see the below code etc.

VBA Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<recoveryLog xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"><logFileName>error056120_01.xml</logFileName><summary>Errors were detected in file 'C:\Users\Ian\Desktop\REMOTES ETC\DR\EXCEL WORKSHEETS\1.xlsm'</summary><removedRecords summary="Following is a list of removed records:"><removedRecord>Removed Records: Named range from /xl/workbook.xml part (Workbook)</removedRecord></removedRecords></recoveryLog>

I am now able to save as a different file name & open it no problem.

Did excel fix the issue or delete something ?

How should i proceed not knowing the answer.
Thanks

Excel Facts

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
As the log file says, it deleted a named range that it didn't like.

Unfortunately not. You'd have to compare it with a previous version, if you have one.
