How do I unprotect cells that are not contiguous to each other in a protected sheet? For example, unprotect cells E8:E27 and A27. All other cells would be protected.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
What are the rules? I mean this sounds a little like Minesweeper. Are you allowed to choose a seed cell? Are non-blank cells diagonal from the last cell considered contiguous?

If my seed cell is E7, then does this look right? Cells in columns F and G would be excluded?
