Hi all. I am using the UNIQUE function on a column full of text and the last unique value being returned is a 0. I have this occurring in 2 different UNIQUE functions.

How can I check the reference cells to see where this is coming from?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
It probably means that you have blank cells in the range.

You can use unique in conjunction with filter, to filter out blank cells.

Depends on what exactly you current formula is & what your data is like.

that is perfect - thank you!

so I had to create another column of data and make this UNIQUE function reference this new column of data. This new column of data has some blank cells and it is still returning a '0' value.

Any ideas why?

In that case I doubt the cells are actually blank.
Can you post some sample data using the XL2BB add-in.
