Unexplained Query Duplication

Hello

I have an unusual issue whereby a SELECT query is incorrectly generating duplicates records under 2 conditions:

i) When a criteria is set on a field (a WHERE clause). If a filter is used on the query output rather than using a WHERE clause there is no issue.

ii) When the query is exported. When the query is just displayed as an instance in Access there are no duplicates (unless WHERE clause is used) - the duplicates only manifest when I export it.

To complicate matters further, the query is removing genuine records which should be present, to accomodate these duplicates...

Anybody any ideas what's going on here?

Best regards,
Andy
