undo save??? <--URGENT, please read :-?

i just need to know with Excel in Office XP Pro, can you undo a save? i saved under a name that replaced my main file, which is horrific to even think about. i hope to God i can undo the save, if not, it will take me atleast a month to get it back to how it was

Sorry to be the messenger here... but no... not that I know of. I *think* there is an option to do a backup, which *might* be the option, but I don't have it around...

Here's a suggestion based on similar painful experience, which may not help you this time if you do not have a back-up of your good workbook, which is probably the case because you are posting this question.

I have Roxio Go Back on my computer (my OS is WXP), and I can't tell you how many times it's saved me. This is not the only Go Back product on the market, but it works for me and was a good investment. Here's a related url:

What I think Juan *may* have been referring to with WXP's built-in feature is called "System Restore". To get to it, click on Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

I have not used it because I put Roxio on my computer and use that instead, which has always come through. But give it a shot and let us know.
