Good day. I am running Excel out of Office 365 on Windows 10. All of a sudden the Undo and Redo functions in the Menu bar are grayed out and when I position the mouse over them, it says the function is not available, use Control-Z which does nothing. I have looked through the options, but I can't find the flag to reset them. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Danno...

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Did you happen to run some VBA code (or macro)?
The Undo command does not work on those, so if the last thing you did was run VBA cdoe/macros, the Undo function will be grayed out until you do something manually in the sheet afterwards.

So if you manually do something (like type something in a cell somewhere), does Undo become re-enabled?
If not, do you have any Event Procedure VBA code (that is being triggered automatically as you are entering things into cells)?

Good day Joe4. I did not know that. I have been doing a lot of macro editing, manipulating modules and their contents, etc.. After selecting a cell, the Undo did return.
Thanks, Danno...

Thank you Joe. I saved a copy of the link in my Excel Notes folder.
