Hello

After a windows update that would not update and froze my PC I have now factory defaulted my PC but have lost my office/excel!

I installed excel so long ago I have no idea how and now I am confused on how to reinstall. All I know is that the version of 2019 excel was an unlicensed version and I'm not even sure how or why this was possible 🤔 Anyway I was hoping that I could sign in with my Microsoft ID and be able to carry on using excel but this does not seem the case.

I'm just looking for advice on my options on how to be able to use excel again. Think there is a free version but the spreadsheet I use has a macro enabled so the free online version is not possible. Is subscription to Microsoft 365 my best/only option?

I am a infrequent personal user of excel so hoping someone can advice on the best way to reinstall excel.

Many thanks

RBW

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
