Unable to change PowerPivot table name despite changing in Power Query

I'm new to PQ. I've created a PQ query and loaded it into PP under the table name "Transaction" . I added some calculated columns and created some relationships to some excel linked tables. I'm trying to replace an SQL query table called "Transactions" so I renamed that one to "Transactionsold" and move all my measures to the new table. Last step i thought was go back into PQ and rename the query to "Transactions" and refresh. Everything refreshes but the table name is stuck as "transaction" in PP.

I have checked the data/connection/properties and not greyed out so haven't changed the structure. Everywhere it is now called "transactions". If I try to change the table name in PP it says go to PQ. Any ideas why the table name is now out of line with the PQ query an any fix?

Thnaks

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Whenever I change the query name (which is then loaded into PP), I have found it requires me to close the file and re-open it in order to reflect the name change. I have no proof of why, it's just what I've noticed.

Hope this helps.

->change the name of the table in PQ
-> just refresh this table i PP model, not only in PQ

In my case this is working

I think I found the issue. I created some new PQ queries and changing the name in PQ immediately fed into PP.

My issue was I had an existing table called "Transactions" that was an SQL query with a bunch of measures referencing it. I was trying to replace this with a PQ table. I renamed the old table "Transactionsold" but it still contained measures with the table name "Transactions". So when I changed the name in PQ from "transaction" to "Transactions" it changed the query name, but was unable to change the table name, presumably as it was blocked. I was hoping to save myself time not renaming the table in all the old measures. This you can't do. In fact when I did change the table name I had to use 'Transaction' not Transaction for some reason.

so in conclusion you can only change the table name in PQ BEFORE you write any measures.
