I have noticed for quite some time that some labels do not display the same even though all the properties are the same. ie content, height, width, font name, font size.
Here is an example:

Same content, same everything except top property of course.

I have battled with this many times without success. Wondering if it is just another MS feature I have to deal with.

I did notice that if I set all of these properties at real time when the form loads than they appear identical.

I would hate for this to be the only answer. Is there a better way?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Not sure I understand. The design view shows 2 different widths in the text, so some property must be different? I have never seen this but if you're sure everything is the same then perhaps one of them is corrupted.

My guess... your Labels are not the same size and you have the AutoSize property on at least one of them set to True.

Good guess, but untrue. Autofit is definitely off. I even checked it again to be sure. As I stated, all of the properties were the same.
However, that was a good question and a piece of info I should have included in my initial post.

In addition 2 other labels had a similar thing going on.
I tried to
  • increase the label size
  • increase/decrease font size
  • increase the frame size
all to no avail.
What does work is to loop through all of the labels and set all of the properties as the form loads. As you can see in the last picture, this made them match.
