I have imported a set of dat but for 945 records i have a type conversion failure. What is this?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Hi PaulJL,

Sounds like something to do with a value being in the wrong form...what type of data is the field that's giving you problems (number, text, yes/no etc.), what type of values are in the field, and what is unique about the records that you can't import in that field, if you can tell?
From what are you importing the data (Access table, AS400, Excel table etc)?
Are you trying to import into Access?
Are there queries or forms in place that refer to this imported data?

Hopefully we can help with a little more info...

Thanks for the input, found the problem. I was using a long integer when i should have been using a double as the number was over eleven digits long.
