Does anyone know how to force Excel to group data together by headers in the X Axis?

It did it automatically with this first graph (barriers by ladder group) after I merged some headers together over a secondary set of headers.

Table format of first graph:
[TABLE="class: grid, width: 680"]

I formatted the second table in the same way, but the resulting chart doesn’t show the grouping.

2nd table formatting:

Hi

It should work directly.
Are you sure you included the first row in the x axis?

Please check.
