I need to be able to turn a cell that has "500,000" into "$500K" in another cell so that I may use it to label graphs.

Also I have some cases of "1,500,000" that I would like to turn into "$1.5M" (Seems like it would be the same formula but just in case)

Thanks!!!!

Daniel

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I would use a custom format. $0.00,,"M"

"500,000" becomes $0.50M
"1,500,000" becomes $1.50M

This way you don't have to mess with formulas
