turning html off in forum post

Hi, I just previewed a question I was trying to ask and because I have html inside my code tag the forum is building the table rather than showing the code as written.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
 
You can turn off HTML but you can also wrap the code in HTML tags which should prevent it from being rendered.
