I have copied an example from access help regards the filedialog object, the example that captures the filename, but everytime I try to run it I get the following error message :-

Compile error:
User-defined type not defined

Can anybody help me here.

Many thanks for you time.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Russell,

Thanks for your reply.
I managed to solve the probelm, over the weekend hence no reply until now, by selecting the Microsoft Office 10.0 Object Library in the references in VBE.
The code I used is exactly the same code as if you type Filedialog on the help search, then select Filedialog object and scroll down.

Thanks for you time

Steve
