This is some work from an employee that left. There is one sheet with a large table in it. Columns A-->Q 1400 rows. On of the Columns is labeled "Environment". Now in the pivot the Rows quadrant has three things in it:

Month
Environment
Environment2

Environment2 seems to be a calculated field based on the data in Environment. But I cannot find this anywhere. I have highlighted the entire worksheet where the table is and selected unhide and nothing is hidden. Environment2 is a field in the same list of PivotTable Fields above the quadrant.

How was this done? I cannot figure it out. Where could this field be? If i create a pivot based on that same table that field does not appear.

Thanks for any help, I'm about all out of hair.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Click on the Pivot then go to Analyze>Fields, Items & Sets>Calculated Field.

There's a dropdown in the name box showing if there are fileds there

The name Environment2 suggests it is the Environment field, but i'd only expect Environment2,3 etc to appear in the values (as a count or average etc.), not the rows.

Yes, I know what you mean, but it isn't. The data in that field, wherever it is, seems to be calculated from the environment field. Both of which are text fields.
