I'm trying to create a chart that shows how the increased number of Google Reviews we've received as improved our overall Google Ranking. But I'm having trouble coming up with a good excel chart that shows both data sets appropriately.

Here is the data I have:

DateTotal Google ReviewsAggregate Google Ranking
May-19
1
8.3
Jun-19
2
8.2
Jul-19
7
7
Aug-19
12
6.1
Sep-19
13
4.9
Oct-19
17
4.1
Nov-19
18
5.3
Dec-19
18
3.1
Jan-20
25
2.9
Feb-20
26
2.7

How can format this into a chart that shows how over time the more reviews we've gotten the better (lower number) our rank has gotten?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Hi
Welcome to the board

One option:

Use a 2nd axis for the ranking and invert the order of the values.

If you're not used to using 2 axis:
1 - create a normal line chart with the 2 series
2 - right-click on the second series and in the format check "plot series on secondary axis"
3 - right-click on the secondary axis and in the format check "Values in reverse order"

Thanks for the advice, PGC. While this definitely works, it's still a little confusing for others to look at this and see that the review line correlates to the primary axis numbers and the ranking refers to the secondary axis numbers. Is there a way to present this data so that it's clear which axis is for which line? Maybe there is no great way to clearly do this in Excel.
