Trying to create a Days Outstanding measure

I am trying to create a measure based on days outstanding.
('QFF'[created]) is my Date Created field
I want to find the number of days it has been open.

Today - Created = 5

I can not seem to get it to work
I have tried

daysout = DATEDIFF(TODAY(),MAX('QFF'[created]),DAY)

I don't get an error on the creation of the measure.
But when I try and use it get an error: Cant Display the Visual

Any Suggestions?
