Trouble with VBHTML maker

I have installed the VB HTML add-in. I have the 4 new controls for copying code, my board profile is set correctly, HTML is ON, BBCode is ON.

I highlight a portion of my code, right clicked, chose Convert seleted code to HTML, (message comes up saying it was copied to clipboard) pasted in the Message body, submitted.

I did a search for answers, seen the posts about the -- &#160 -- issue.
I checked my ConvertCode procedure in the modMain module. I have the -- &#160 -- line there. So I think I have the latest and greatest add-in.

I have tried a few tests on the Test Forum and the code does not apear in the white box like it should.

Any ideas.

thanks

Tried something else

After doing above, i noticed that the VBHTML maker was not in the project window after closing Excel.

So I unzipped the download again and copied the VBHTML maker into the AddIns folder in Excel. Now I have both the VBHTML and the HtmlMaker 2.42 in there.

did another test - still not posting right.

Is there a FAQ on the VB HTML? I have read the FAQ on HTML which is for the worksheet posting.

thanks

What white box do you mean?

I've not used the VB HTML maker for a while but I have used it.

As far as I can recall it didn't involve a white box.

I looked at your post's in the Test forum and at least one of them has some formatting.

It just appears to be the font though.

By the way why not just use the code tags?

Thanks Norie

Everbody keeps telling me to download use the VBHTML maker to my post code to this board.

The white box I'm talking about is what shows up with the code and all of attributes like idententions and such. (like it looks in the code module.

Not sure what you mean by "code tags"

I honestly don't think there is a white box when you use the add-in.

I know some board members eg Right Click post their code using a white box but I think they're doing that themselves.

As to code tags, if you goto Preview you will see various buttons for formatting your post.

One of these is code, to use it just select the code in the post and press the button.

This will wrap the code in the tags.

It will preserve the indentation, making the code easier to read and follow.

Hello,

Here are the code tags:

Code:
Your code goes here

The reason they appear in this post is because I have disabled BBCode in my post.

The white box you're referring to appears when you click the 'View Code' button in IE. :)

Two different animals, though, don't mix the two. ;)

Nate

Have you ever seen any posts with code by Right Click AKA Tom?

He has some pretty nice formatting, including a white box.

I don't know but perhaps that's what Harry's referring to.

I think next time I see Right Click online I'll send him a PM about it.:)

Nate

That's the VB HTML maker I was thinking of.

Like I said I've used it in the past and it was quite nice but I'm loathe to use add-ins.

I still can't get Colo's to work without Excel dying on me.:)

Thanks Nate and Norie,

Actually Kisty had suggested what you posted Nate, "but the light just didn't turn on." I tried it in the Test Forum - works the way I was tring to explain.

White box (well maybe not real white), green font, indentions. Here all the time I thought I had to download the VBHTML Maker.

Thanks again guys.
