I'm doing a project for a college class that has me scouring the net for answers to questions regarding access and excel troubleshooting. I've found most of the answers but some have me stuck. The point of the project is to find the answers on the net. I can't tell if some of these are Excel or Access questions. Please help me if you can -

1. If I change data in a query does it change the corresponding tables, if not how can I do this. If so, can this feature be turned off?

2.. Access tries to debug every time I start it, why?

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Access, yes, yes: right click on query 'background' in design view, properties|recordset type|snapshot

er Access, and I would ask for more information, what do you mean Access tries to debug, you mean a database file tries to debug? If Access is trying to debug, run the Microsoft Office repair program, and try to fix Access's installation if it got fouled up.

Good luck with your class.
