Hi all.

An assay I perform for my lab work gives me 30 sets of data on one sheet. These data are triplicate measurements of a sample and the measurement is repeated every minute over a period of 30 mins (thus the 30 sets of data). Each remeasured value of a triplicate is separated by 10 rows, but remain in the same column. When I say triplicate I mean A4-C4=sample 1, A6-C6=sample 3, D4-F4= sample 5, and so on. Here's an example:

A4: 93 B4: 88 C4: 92------>triplicate measurement of sample 1 at time 0
A5: 99 B5: 93 C5: 97------>triplicate measurement of sample 2 at time 0

A14: 88 B14: 94 C14: 93------> triplicate measurement of sample 1 at time 1
A15: 57 B15: 49 C15: 44------> triplicate measurement of sample 2 at time 2

What I'd like to be able to do is quickly and easily calculate the average of the triplicate measurement of each sample at each time point in a separate sheet in the same workbook, but excel will not let me establish such a pattern no matter how I've tried inputing it. I normally wouldn't mind doing each one manually, but I receive 30 sets of data that could have triplicate measurements of up to 20 or more samples. Does anyone know a way to efficiently do this? Thanks in advance.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Are you trying to something like this?

=SUM(F4:H4,F14:H14,F24:H24)/COUNT(F4:H4,F14:H14,F24:H24)
