Hi all, I'm am attempting to import a large file into Access. The original is a system generated, tab delimited text file. The column of data for date is formatted like this on the original file (This is a copy/paste from the original):

01/01/14 12:00 AM

I've tried formatting the column as Time/Date (and gone into advanced settings and unchecked 4 digit year) as well as short text but for some reason Access does not like something about this field.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

You could always import it as a Text field. That is what I usually do with these type of fields.
You can use String and Date functions in calculated fields if you need to do anything with this field once in the Access table.
